Project Manager

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead activities for multiple projects to ensure project goals are met; including schedule, budget, specifications, and safety.
  • Maintain constant client and field leadership communication from kick-off to project completion.
  • Prepare project plans and communication with client, field superintendents, and estimators.
  • Assess project requirements, implement processes and analyze project performance.
  • Prepare and manage communication cadence for assigned projects.
  • Schedule labor in accordance with specified project schedule, including subcontractors as needed.
  • Responsible for the timely procurement and delivery of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Effectively track project-related expenses and overall budget.
  • Effectively communicate project deliverable and scope change concerns to company leadership.
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members as project experience level requires.

Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant Project Management experience
  • 2+ years related job experience working in Construction Bidding or direct Mechanical, Civil or Electrical construction industry
  • Competent with reviewing construction documents and plans
  • Possess high level mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Adaptable to fast-paced work environment
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize
  • Possess excellent computer skills, including the ability to become fluent in project management and scheduling software

Physical and travel requirements:

  • Up to 50% travel required or as needed to support field projects
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • May be required to climb stairs and evaluate work in elevated areas

Business Development

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Drive business growth by identifying new customer and market opportunities
  • Conduct market and customer research, fully understand customer needs and competition
  • Collaboration at multiple levels, including estimators, customers, decision-makers, and vendors
  • Ability to tailor effective verbal and written communication with all stakeholders.
  • Effective at balancing current customer and growth business.  Build and maintain long-lasting relationships
  • Conduct frequent check-ins and provide updates on upcoming projects
  • Develop a solid understanding of the technical needs of our customers, including new markets
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to effectively network with customers and peers

Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
  • 2+ years Sales and or Business Development industry experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Proficient in word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint and comfortable learning new computer software
  • Sales Force experience a plus
